Coaching

Proactive and productive coaching work happens

when the sessions are conducted in a neutral space.

Nicola Stevens & Associates work in either Chelsea,

London, or at a location arranged by commissioning

organisations by mutual agreement.

Coaching programmes include 1:1 executive coaching for professional and personal development, group and team coaching for high performance and collaboration and coaching for lifelong learning.

Executive aspects:

  1. Creating and communicating the vision

  2. Paradoxes and dilemmas of leadership and management

  3. Change management and transformation

  4. Rebuilding and supporting management of teams

  5. Boosting creativity and innovation

  6. Enhance leadership, responsibility and accountability

Personal aspects:

  1. Career management

  2. Resolving conflicts

  3. Changing priorities

  4. Personal impact and effectiveness

  5. Building better relationships; work/home

  6. Finances; debt and money issues

Coaching for lifelong learning will create greater value for the budget spent on traditional stand-alone training courses.  Statistics show how training courses, whilst motivating at the time, have a limited impact on the organisation.

  1. 67% of what is learned is forgotten within a day

  2. 80% is forgotten within a week

  3. 97% is forgotten with 2 weeks

This is not necessarily the fault of the course or the trainer delivering the course. It is the effect of the pressures and distractions that managers are confronted with when they return to their working environment. A proactive coaching programme will forward the action needed, and deepen the learning.

There needs to be criteria of ethics and standards that are accepted by the organisation and individuals to ensure the professionalism of the coaching process.

Research shows that to imbed learning there needs to be an active programme - coaching - to make sure any information from workshops is not forgotten at the rate shown below:

  1. 67% of what is learned is forgotten within a day

  2. 80% is forgotten within a week

  3. 97% is forgotten with 2 weeks
